Interesting information about YouTube

- YouTube is blocked in several countries. Pakistan blocked YouTube on February 23, 2008 over concerns that there were videos offensive to the Islamic faith. Three days later, the ban was removed as YouTube took the offending material down and now again it is blocked due to same reason in many countries.
- Many schools have also begun to ban access to YouTube.
- The main criticism of YouTube is that it allows people to upload any content that infringes copyright. YouTube has been subject of a number of lawsuits as companies claim that YouTube should do more to block people uploading copyrighted videos. In response, YouTube has added a ‘digital fingerprint’ system that checks videos that are uploaded against the original content.

Names of inventors of YouTube

As we know YouTube is most popular video sharing website and it allows people to upload their videos on it. YouTube contains over 83.4 million videos.

Who Invented YouTube:

YouTube was invented in February 2005 by three former PayPal employees. Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Javed Karim are co-founders of YouTube. Chen Hurley and Javed Karim were student of university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign together, they were attending computer science classes. I think making of YouTube was not simple work. It took 6 months for 3 persons to get that site on internet.

Who Discovered Nitrogen and interesting facts about it

Nitrogen is a chemical element with the symbol N and has an atomic number of 7. Nitrogen is a very important element for organisms and in industry. Nitrogen is a very important part of amino acids and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).

Who Discovered Nitrogen:

Nitrogen was discovered by David Rutherford in 1772. He called it noxious air or fixed air. By the late 18th century, most chemists knew of this fraction of air (nitrogen with some other gases) that did not combust. A few years after 1772, nitrogen was also studied by Carl Wilhelm Scheele, Henry Cavendish, and Joseph Priestley. They referred to it as burnt air or phlogisticated air. Through various studies it was shown that animals suffocated in nitrogen. We now know that this is because animals breathe oxygen and will suffocate if there is no oxygen.

Who discovered Coffee and interesting facts about it

Coffee is a very popular beverage, and stimulant, that is consumed by millions of people worldwide every day. The health benefits, and health problems, associated with drinking coffee are still heavily debated.

Who Discovered Coffee:

Coffee was first consumed by the Ethiopians in the 9th century (800 AD). Legend has it that a shepherd named Kaldi was tending his goats up on the mountains somewhere in Ethiopia. It was a hot day and he was taking a rest. Then he looked up and couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his goats dancing. Walking over to where they were dancing, he discovered that they had been eating a red fruit (coffee beans). Wondering whether that had caused the goats strange behaviour he consumed some of the ‘fruit’ himself. Sometime later, a local imam (Islamic leader) came along and thought he must be dreaming when he saw Kaldi dancing with his goats!
