• The first cell phone made by Motorola was DynaTec Phone. It was of cost $3500.
• Wireless email and Internet connection was first enabled in Nokia cell phone in 1996.
• Ring tones for the first time were sold in 1998.
• Maybe Cell phone are dangerous at petrol pumps. Some tests such as Myth Busters test shows these are not dangerous but some other tests disagree.
• Some research showed that too much usage of mobile phone is dangerous for brain.
• Money earned through mobile phones in 2008 was reached over $1 trillion USD.
• Up to 60% of the radiation emitted by a typical mobile phone (enough to cause heating) is absorbed by user's head.
• First text message was sent in 1992
• Text messages contributed to 20% of operator revenues.
• The number of mobile users in China has grown from 268.69 million in 2003 to 497.86 million in 2008.
